Ellison Flour Mill
PRESERVATION HONOR AWARD

Begun in 1940, the Ellison Flour Mill, later known as the Fountain Inn Milling Company, has been transformed from an abandoned part of Fountain Inn’s industrial past into a vibrant part of the town’s ongoing redevelopment. The three primary structures, containing more than 8,000 square feet, retain their historic configuration and their essential industrial character while housing a brewery, food hall, and special event venue. The grounds of the mill have also been transformed into a popular outdoor space with the largest outdoor screen in the Upstate, adding to the life and programming for the Mill at Fountain Inn.
For their sensitive rehabilitation, contribution to the preservation-based redevelopment of Fountain Inn, and vision for this industrial relic, we are pleased to recognize the Mill at Fountain Inn with a 2025 Historic Preservation Honor Award.
