PSC Sacred Spaces Series
Mt. Olivet Church soon to Re-Open
In February of 2022, PreservationSC was approached by the remaining members of Mt. Olivet Church. Wishing to ensure the church will never be lost, the congregation donated it to PSC.
Located in Prosperity, this church has a rich history in the community. Like so many other churches in South Carolina, the dwindling congregation forced them to close their doors.
Through our Sacred Spaces Program, we are proud to announce a buyer has been found for the church, and it will continue to be used as a place of worship. This church will maintain its historic integrity through a PSC preservation easement.
Our Sacred Spaces Program is dedicated to helping local congregations, businesses, and religious organizations in preserving South Carolina’s historic collection of churches and temples, that, without outside assistance, would be at risk of being lost.
